The primary use of the stems of Bittersweet is in the treatment of skin and rheumatic complaints. It may be used in psoriasis, exzema and pityriasis. Rheumatic and arthritic inflammations are eased, as well as gradually improved. 

Infusion: pour a cup of boiling water onto 1 teaspoonful of the dried herb and leave to infuse fo 10 minutes. this should be drunk twice daily.
