Of the day-crystal, herb, and rune (until I run out of runes)

I decided that when I do blogs- or if I'm having trouble finding something to blog about I could at least be a useful little witch and educate you about something. So here it is my very first "of the day". I promise I will try really hard to frequently post this.

Crystal

Agate

Clear or milky white, gray, blue, green, pink, brown, often artificially colored
Waxy and soft, usually banded, sometimes translucent
Common
Found in US, India, Morocco, Czech Republic, Brazil, and Africa

Grounding stone
Brings emotional, physical, and intellectual balance
Aids in centering and stabilizing physical energy
Harmonizes yin and yang,
Soothing and Calming stone works slowly, but brings great strength

Herb

Agrimony

Parts used: Dried aerial
The whole of the plant above ground should be collected when the flowers are just blooming. Dry in shade in temperatures not above 100 F (40 C)
Constituents: tannins, glycosidal bitters, nicotinic acid, silicic acid, iron, vitamin B & K, essential oil
Actions: Astringent, Tonic, diuretic, vulnerary, cholagogue.

Often used for digestive problems commonly for childhood diarrhea

pour one cup boiling water on 1-2 tsp dried herb let infuse 10-15 minutes drink 3 times daily.

Rune

WYRD

WYRD has no number and no pictographic symbol  it is blank and is best interpreted by the way it relates to its neighbors.

Ralph Blume states in his Book of Runes that "This is a rune of total trust and should be taken as exciting evidence of your most immediate contact with your own true destiny."

WYRD is the cosmic power of fate akin to karma

This rune symobolizes something unexpected
