Collection: The root should be unearthed in the spring or fall and its bark pared off and dried. 

As a circulatory stimulant, it plays a roll in many conditions when thy are approached in a holistic way. Due to its specific actions, it is a valuable astringent in diarrhea and sysentry. As a gargle it helps sore throats and as a douche it helps in leukorrhea.  

Decoction: 1tsp of bark into cold water-bring to a boil. leave for 10-15 minutes. Drink 3 times daily
